Rathore: No farmers’ land to be auctioned under Bhajan Lal Govt
Jaipur: Senior BJP leader and former LoP Rajendra Rathore during a press conference, said that farmers’ land will not be auctioned in the state and a policy decision in this regard will be taken soon at CM’s level.
He added that the government has issued an administrative order to suspend the bank order. Hanumangarh Cooperative Land Development Bank Ltd. had issued a public notice of auction of agricultural lands of 20 farmers in various Tehsils of Hanumangarh on May 17, which was published in newspapers on Saturday.
Rathore stated that a panel will be formed to address auction notice issued by Hanumangarh’s land development bank after 20 farmers defaulted on loans. CM promptly suspended the auction order. Rathore said that the BJP govt is committed to protecting farmers’ interests, unlike the previous Cong govt that allowed land auctions.
