Rajasthan boosts mining, petroleum sectors with MoUs worth Rs 63,463 cr

Jaipur: In a significant move to boost Rajasthan’s mining and petroleum sectors, CM Bhajan Lal Sharma presided over Rising Rajasthan Pre-Summit on Friday, where MOUs worth Rs 63,463 crore were signed. During the ceremony, CM Sharma highlighted the state’s abundant mineral resources, including gold, silver, lead, zinc, marble, and granite. He announced that Rajasthan would soon launch a Centre for Excellence to promote the mining of REE found in areas like Barmer, Jalore, and Nagaur. Sharma added that Rajasthan has already auctioned 32 major mineral blocks in the past seven months, making the state a leader in mineral block auctions. He also mentioned new MSand policy, which aims to make manufactured sand easily accessible and investor-friendly.
