Raj would make for an excellent hub for heat-based industries: CS

Jaipur: Chief Secretary Niranjan Arya on Friday, said that gas based industries would be encouraged in the districts coming under the purview of gas grid and investment in this sector would increase.

Arya on Friday, presided over the review meeting of Ukhlia of Bhilwara and Soniana Ceramic Zones of Chittorgarh developed by RIICO.

Arya instructed the officers of the concerned departments to work in this direction by co-ordinating among themselves.

He said that Rajasthan is the largest producer of raw materials related to ceramics and would make for an excellent destination for heat- based industries.

Industries and Commerce Secretary Ashutosh AT Pednekar said that special zones are being developed by RIICO keeping in mind the heat- based industries in the areas falling under the gas grid.

ACS Mines Dr Subodh Agarwal as well as senior officers of various departments were present in the meeting.
