Raj tourism shines, bumper footfall expected
Jaipur: First in London, then Spain and now in Berlin, Rajasthan tourism is known for being the safest state with rich heritage and tradition. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Deputy CM Diya Kumari along with Principal Secretary Gayatri Rathore have made this possible.
At the International Travel Bourse in Berlin, Principal Secretary Gayatri Rathore, Director Rashmi Sharma and O&M Director GM Pradeep Bohra of Palace on Wheels showcased Rajasthan. The tableau of Palace on Wheels received advance booking of more than 550 cabins for the next season. During the roadshow, travel agents and tour operators promised to bring tourist groups to the state. It is expected that the new financial year will prove to be Rajasthan’s golden year for tourism.
The process of participation of Rajasthan tourism in foreign marts started from World Travel Mart London. In this, the team went under the leadership of Tourism Director Rashmi Sharma and Deputy Director Upendra Singh. Roadshows were conducted, B2B meetings were held and state’s products were promoted.
