Raj govt to introduce phase-wise development for new townships
Jaipur: The Rajasthan government has intensified efforts to implement a new township policy, marking a significant shift from the existing regulations that have been in place since 2010. A committee of senior officials, responsible for drafting the new policy framework, has been tasked with finalizing the proposal and addressing over 350 objections and suggestions received during the consultation phase.
The committee will assess all feedback and make necessary amendments to the draft before submitting the finalized version for government approval. The new policy includes provisions for phase wise development, ensuring that township approvals are granted only for designated areas after comprehensive planning. Integrated Residential Townships can be developed without the phase-wise restriction, allowing flexibility in urban development.
Energy Minister Heera Lal Nagar, legislators Sandeep Sharma and Vishwaraj Singh have provided suggestions on the draft of the policy.
