Protest continues over banning SU polls in varsities
Jaipur: More than a dozen students locked themselves in the vice-chancellor’s secretariat of RU on Wednesday in protest against the state govt’s decision to cancel student union elections. The student leaders poured petrol and threatened self-immolation if the state govt did not hold student union elections.
Digvijay Singh Chautala, General Secretary of Jannayak Janata Party, along with his supporters, was also protesting at Rajasthan University. The police took around 60 people with Chautala into custody.
