Prompt action by Forest Min Sanjay halts suspected illegal trade of wood
Jaipur: The alertness of Forest and Environment Minister Sanjay Sharma paid dividends when the minister saw a pickup full of wood on the highway in Dausa while he was going from Alwar to Jaipur.
The information of the Forest Minister catching a pickup full of illegal wood created a stir among the forest officials of the district. The minister stopped the pickup and asked the driver for the permission letter for the wood which the driver did not have. He asked for information about the wood, but the pickup driver could not give any concrete information about the wood.
The minister called Dausa DFO Ajit Uchoi on the spot and handed over the keys of the pickup and instructed him to take strict action against the pickup driver. He also told the DFO to stop illegal cutting of wood and check the saw machines too to make sure they are not doing any illegal work.
