Probe ambit widens as Katara’s son, 1 more land in SOG clutches

Jaipur: The Special Operation Group (SOG) of the State police arrested RPSC member Babulal Katara’s son Dr Dipesh Katara and his teacher friend in the senior teacher recruitment paper leak case. The investigation team has also questioned 3 other people. The SOG had arrested Babulal Katara, his nephew Vijay Katara and driver Gopal Singh on Tuesday from Ajmer.

The SOG team reached Subhash Nagar in Dungarpur on Wednesday night and held Dr Dipesh Katara and his friend, who was a government teacher, Gautam Katara. At the same time, Katara’s son-in-law Dr Ravi Ghoghara, Dipesh’s friend Bhartendu and Vinay Tabiyar were also questioned.

SOG has recovered many important documents from the rented house of his friend Shriram Sharma during interrogation of Sher Singh. Two mobile phones, a dongle, a diary, photocopies of the question paper have been seized from his flat number on Sikar Road, Ajmer. On the basis of Sher Singh’s inquiry, a double bedsheet and a lock, 3 keys, and a computer set were recovered from the official residence of RPSC member Babulal Katara in Ajmer.

Meanwhile, the court rejected the bail application of Anita Meena, girlfriend of paper leak accused Sher Singh Meena, who is on police remand.
