Precious land freed from squatters at Sahkar Marg

Jaipur: Precious govt land was vacated as the JDA’s bulldozer roared in Lalkothi on Sahakar Marg on Monday. There was encroachment on corner of Lalkothi vegetable market. Dhaba, timbers & fruit shops were running on 1,341 sqm land.

JDA’s enforcement squad removed these encroachments. First India News had broadcast the news on 5 Sept that the JDA was delaying in removing encroachment from its own land. Action was proposed to remove the encroachment thrice but every time the action was postponed. The JDA came into action after the news was published.

Amidst heavy police presence, the JDA squad reached to take action on govt land. When JDA started removing encroachments from about 1,600 meters of land, people came out in protest, however, due to heavy police presence they did not protest.

JDA started action on the land coming under the beautification and traffic improvement project at Lakshmi Mandir Tiraha and took possession of land. During the action, team of the JDA Enforcement Branch along with the inspector of the concerned police station was present.
