‘Poor construction mars heritage preservation efforts in walled city’

Jaipur: Concerns have been raised over irregularities in the construction of the Chougan Stadium and Gangauri Hospital in the walled city. MLA Bal Mukundacharya met with UDH Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra and submitted a letter addressing the issues. He requested the issuance of work orders for covering the drains passing through the Hawa Mahal area and repairing the damaged walls of these drains.

The projects under the Smart City initiative have seen significant irregularities, including the use of substandard material, leading to cracks in walls before completion and issues with leakage and deteriorating paint. Additionally, he highlighted the poor construction quality of the Ward No. 7 Councillor office and suggested maintaining the heritage of Jaipur by ensuring all buildings remain pink with uniform signage in all shops.
