Pond land being sold for Rs 25-30K per sq yd
Jaipur: Due to the connivance of JDA, illegal plots are being allotted for Rs of 25,000 to 30,000 per square yard in the capital these days. The sale of land at high prices on pond land is currently a hot topic, but this entire affair is being openly played due to the involvement of politicians and senior officials. Complaints about this have reached JDA several times from legislature and general public, but due to influence, JDA officials are reluctant to take action. Despite JDA acknowledging that the colony being built on pond land is illegal, people are now waiting for action to be taken against it.
Illegal plots are being openly sold on pond land in the form of a society at the rate of 25 thousand square yards. Moreover, commercial plots are being sold at even higher prices. The general public is being misled, and many people are investing here. In fact, several people are even living in the houses they’ve built, unaware that their homes are completely illegal. In the Khoh Nagoriyan area, illegal plots were being cut in the Badli Pond in recent months. Local residents claim that people used to take water from the pond for farming. However, land mafia have now taken over the pond land using their influence and cut plots.
Due to the illegal colonies being built on pond land, local people are facing significant difficulties. If action is not taken soon against these illegal colonies, the entire pond land will soon be covered with houses.
