Police arrests Dr Kirodi, takes him to Chaksu; Dharna ended
Jaipur: Rajya Sabha MP Kirodi Lal Meena’s protest outside Ashok Nagar police station in Jaipur over a scam in the state’s Mines and Water Supply Department continued on Thursday. Meena sat on main road and demanded to register a case against the culprits. In the presence of DCP South Yogesh Goyal, police detained Meena and his supporters and took them to Chaksu in a bus. Meena accused CM Gehlot and police of adopting a repressive policy.
Meena was detained and then released from Chaksu police station. Local BJP workers protested in front of the police van and demanded Meena’s release. During this, Meena was taken inside the police station for some time, but he sat on a dharna with his supporters again after returning.
He said, “I was sitting outside Ashok Nagar police station in Jaipur for the last few days demanding registration of a case, but instead of registering my case, I was arrested and brought to Chaksu police station. The govt has changed our place, but our demands will remain the same until a case is filed against corrupts.”
A case under sec 188 of IPC has also been lodged against Meena at Ashok Nagar Police Station.
