PM Modi to lay foundation of 508 redeveloped Rly stns on Aug 6
Jaipur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually lay the foundation stone for redevelopment of 508 stations across the country under the ‘Amrit Bharat Station Scheme’ on August 6. The foundation stone for re-development of 12 stations of North Western Railways will also be laid.
The re-development of 47 stations at a cost of about Rs 2,400 crore will be done. The re-development of 12 stations of Jaipur division, Jaipur, Gandhinagar, Jaipur, Phulera, Rewari, Bandikui, Alwar, Narena, Sikar, Narnaul, Ringas, Jhunjhunu & Asalpur Jobner stations would cost around Rs 1,150 cr.
10 stns of Bikaner division, Hisar, Sriganganagar, Suratgarh, Churu, Hanumangarh, Lalgarh, Sadulpur, Ratangarh, Sirsa & Bhiwani would cost about Rs 200 crore. Re-development work of 10 stns of Ajmer division would cost more than Rs 180 cr. 15 stns of Jodhpur division, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Sujangarh, Balotra, Nokha, Deshnok would cost Rs 860 crore.
