PM approves new rail line for Sirohi

Jaipur : The Sirohi district of the state has been gifted with a rail line. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the Tarangahil-Ambaji-Abu Road new rail line. This railway line will pass through the Sirohi district. Along with this, the railway line will also pass through the Sabarkantha, Banaskantha and Mahesana districts of Gujarat. Due to this, there will be socio-economic development alongside the development of industries and businesses in these areas.

Captain Shashikiran, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway said that the estimated cost of the Tarangahil-Ambaji-Abu Road new rail line is Rs 2798.16 crore. The rail line will be stretched for about 116.65 kilometres. A total of 15 stations are proposed on this railway line route, in which there will be 8 crossing and 7 halt stations. The rail line will pass through 11 tunnels, 54 major bridges, 151 minor bridges, 8 road over bridges, 54 road under bridges or bridges of limited height.
