Passengers upset by nonfunctional Monthly Season Ticket facility

Jaipur: Many changes were made in train operation during Corona. After 2 years, railways has resumed most of the facilities related to passengers. Even general class tickets have started in almost all trains. But a facility related to local commuters of monthly season ticket (MST) is still not fully functional due to which passengers are upset.

Passengers have now started getting facilities like sheet-blanket, catering, simple tickets etc. in trains. MST has already started in some trains, while in some trains this facility is not being provided to the passengers. When passengers take MST from UTS on Mobile Application of railways, they get MST for all types of Mail, Express, Superfast trains.

Travel is allowed in only 76 trains out of 160 on paper. Orders have been given to issue MST in these trains at the ticket window while MST is being issued in all trains on online UTS application. There are about 2,000 MST holders in Jaipur division.
