Parliament turned into exhibition centre: Kharge
Jaipur: After laying the foundation stone of the new headquarters of the state Congress, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge fiercely attacked the BJP government. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned Parliament into an exhibition center in the name of special session. “President Draupadi Murmu was not called at the inauguration of the new Parliament. If this is not an insult to the President then what is? Earlier, when Ramnath Kovind was the President, he was also not invited to the foundation stone laying ceremony of the new Parliament building, because he was considered untouchable. If the foundation stone had been laid by his hands, the place would have had to be washed with Gangajal. They talk about promoting Dalits and tribals only for politics,” he said.
Attacking the Central govt over the Women’s Reservation Bill, Kharge said that Modi got nervous as soon as the I.N.D.I. alliance was formed and has brought this bill for the sake of votes, but talks about implementing it in 2030. “At that time neither Modi nor the rest of the BJP will be there. When the Women’s Reservation Bill was introduced during the tenures of Rajiv Gandhi and Manmohan Singh and, the BJP was the first to oppose it,” he said.
