Over 100 tigers, new leopard reserves & more
Jaipur: Wildlife tourism is at its peak in the state. Last year, more than 15 lakh wildlife enthusiasts came to the state. In Jaipur alone there were more than 8.5 lakh tourists.
Forest and Environment Minister Sanjay Sharma has given instructions to officers to work in coordination and strengthen wildlife conservation.
Over a 100 tigers and new leopard reserves have changed the picture of wildlife tourism. There are 5 tiger reserves in the state, but safaris can be done only in 3.
Ranthambore’s DCF Tourism Sandeep Chaudhary said that in 2023, more than 6 lakh 30,000 tourists came for safari. Sariska’s DCF Devendra Jagawat said that the number of tourists coming to Sariska was 70,000 and more than Rs 2.91 cr revenue.
Under the leadership of DCF Sangram Singh, ACF Raghuveer Meena, Ranger Janeshwar Chaudhary, Nitin Sharma and Gaurav Chaudhary have handled wildlife conservation & tourism.
