No place for bullies in democracy, says Rathore

Jaipur: Lashing out at Congress leader Dheeraj Gurjar for his controversial statement, BJP state president Madan Rathore on Monday said that it was an unfortunate situation that people were doing politics on the basis of hooliganism and bullying.

He said that in democracy, the public is supreme and those who serve the public move forward in politics, not the ‘Bahubali’.

A video of a public programme surfaced on social media in which Gurjar is purportedly seen using threatening language to get his work done. Reacting to this, Madan Rathore said that the politics of hooliganism will not work in de mocracy. “Our voters should decide whether to give rule to such strongmen, bullies or hooligans or give importance to the people of civilized society who work according to the law,” he said at a press conference.
