New govt will review syllabus: Dilawar
Jaipur: Rajasthan Education Minister Madan Dilawar has decided to review the schemes of the former Congress government including Mahatma Gandhi English Medium Schools. After a meeting with officials at the Secretariat on Saturday, Dilawar said that the Mahatma Gandhi English Medium School running in Rajasthan will be reviewed. He said transfers will not take place now. However, he said, there is no ban on transfer.
Dilawar said that there is a provision in the New Education Policy that classes 1 to 5 should be taught in the mother tongue whereas education is being imparted in English in English medium schools.
“In such a situation, review will be done regarding Mahatma Gandhi English Medium Schools,” he said.
Dilawar said the BJP government will review the syllabus again in the interest of the students and the country.
