New dists will provide new impetus to state’s devp: CM

Jaipur: CM Ashok Gehlot while addressing the press conference on Friday after meeting of the Cabinet & Council of Ministers at CMR, said that formation of 3 new divisions and 19 new districts in the state will facilitate the common man, besides, due to administrative decentralization, the administrative system will also be strengthened. “With the formation of new districts, the development of the state will be possible at a faster pace. The term of the committee constituted under the chairmanship of former IAS officer Ramlubhaya was extended by six months in relation to new districts. On the recommendation of this committee, more districts will also be formed in the state,” he said.

The Chief Minister informed that the process of demarcation of the newly formed districts has been finalized in the cabinet meeting. “On August 7, a formal establishment programme of these districts will be organised in the presence of the ministers in charge. Due to the large size of the districts, the Collectors have to face administrative problems, the police officers also have trouble in maintaining law & order,” Gehlot said. The Chief Minister said that the people of the state have welcomed the formation of new divisions and districts.

The CM said that our governance has been liked by the masses. “The State is progressing at a fast pace in all fields. Govt schools, PHC, CHC, Patwar Circle, Sub Tehsil, Tehsil, Sub-Divisional Office, Additional District Collector Office etc. have been opened on a large scale in the state. In the last four and a half years, 1284 new villages have been built.”
