New district Red Cross Societies to be made, efforts in place for Anemia-Free Rajasthan
Jaipur: Governor Kalraj Mishra announced the initiation of a free oneday first aid training programme for students in Rajasthan, in collaboration with the Medical and Health Dept, the Education Dept, and the Red Cross Society. This initiative was discussed during state-level review meeting of the Red Cross Society on Monday.
Governor Mishra emphasized the formation of Red Cross Societies in 17 new districts alongside the existing 33 districts, with a deadline of July 31 for necessary actions. The meeting also highlighted the role of Red Cross in promoting tree plantation and the preservation of planted saplings, as well as encouraging organ donations.
Health Min Gajendra Khimsar noted govt’s ongoing efforts to improve health services through public participation. The Indian Red Cross Society Rajasthan branch’s website was also launched.
