National Road Safety Month: Officials concerned on ‘phone while driving’
Jaipur: The inaugural programme of National Road Safety Month was held at Albert Hall in the capital on Monday where Transport Commissioner Manisha Arora, DCP Traffic Laxman Das and officers and employees of the Transport Department and Traffic Police were present.
While talking about road safety, Arora expressed concern about the increasing use of mobile phones while driving. He said that 10 seconds spent on a cellphone while driving equals to 10 minutes of driving blindfolded. He said that road safety is the priority of both the Central and state government.
