Mpox case: Test at SMS lab negative, RUHS report awaited
Jaipur: The report of a person who was admitted to RUHS after suspecting monkeypox on Tuesday from the airport was found negative. Director Public Health Dr. Ravi Prakash Mathur reported that the monkeypox test for a 20-year-old man from Nagaur, who was kept in isolation at RUHS Hospital, has returned negative. This young man had arrived in Jaipur from Dubai. During a health check at the airport, rashes were found on his body, leading to his transfer to RUHS Hospital. Upon examination, he was found to have chickenpox. As a precaution, his blood sample was sent for monkeypox testing to SMS which came back negative on Wednesday and he will be discharged soon.
Jodhpur woman dies of Congo fever in Ahmd
A woman from Jodhpur has died due to Congo fever in Ahmedabad, prompting state authorities in Raj to issue directives for heightened vigilance and necessary preventive measures throughout the state. The 51-yearold woman, who passed away on Wednesday had her sample tested positive for the virus at NIV, Pune.
