More than 700 dowry cases registered this year so far

Jaipur: There has been a tremendous increase in the cases of dowry harassment in the State capital. Dowry cases are increasing in all four women police stations after Corona since January. The cases have crossed 700 and this is when the police first counsels husband and wife. The women are accusing husband, fatherin-law and all in-laws of demanding dowry.

There are 5 families court in Jaipur in which more than 10,000 cases are pending. There are about 150 to 175 divorces in a month and more than 500 new cases are registered, said Advocate DS Shekhawat. Advocate AK Jain said that there has to be mutual understanding between working couples for the marriage to work.
