MODI-MACRON CELEBRATING FRIENDSHIP IN JAIPUR!
The world is changing at a faster pace than ever it did in the past, and with this, a change in world order is also being observed. Once there was a bipolar world that slowly became unipolar and is now believed to be heading towards being multipolar, where everyone would have a say in global problems and issues. However, this is also a time of deepening the pre-existing bonds and building new ones as well. As the world looks worried about the issues concerning the West, the slowing of economies coupled with the problems besieging Europe, it is looking towards India for the ‘answers’. And the answer, that India has, lies in partnerships and mutual respect. Perhaps that is why, all the nations in the world are looking to invest in India, purely because India means security of investment. Two ‘powerhouses’ of world politics—India and France— are set to further strengthen their friendship and mutual respect that was forged years ago. French President Emmanuel Macron has been invited to the Republic Day parade on January 26 as the Chief Guest. However, before this, he will be visiting Jaipur on January 25 along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and witness the heritage and culture of ‘The Pink City’. France has been a close and strategic partner of India for a long time and this visit of the French President may further embolden that connection. It is believed that talks between the two premiers may be held on varied issues including defence equipment like Rafale fighter jets and submarines. What France may be looking forward to would be a secure investment opportunity. As India is poised to become the third biggest economy in the world, France and other nations are looking forward to holding partnerships with India since ‘Bharat’ is the new ‘Land of Opportunities’ which believes in sharing its achievements, goodwill, and mutual respect with the world rather than keeping it locked for itself. To ensure that PM Modi and President Macron’s visit is one of the most memorable visits of the premiers to any state of India, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has been working round the clock and overseeing preparations. CM Sharma also hopes that Jaipur becomes the backdrop against which the Indo-French camaraderie unprecedented heights and Rajasthan emerges as a pivotal player in the mutual development of India and France!
