Medical teachers’ stir hits health services
Jaipur: Medical teachers, agitating for ten-point demands, boycotted work on the call of the Joint Action Committee on Saturday. However, in view of the problems of serious patients, they have shown some leniency.
Medical teachers boycotted the OPD, routing OT, and teaching work on the first day. However, no Emergency ICU and indoor services were affected during this time.
They have been agitating for their demands which include, the formation of a separate cadre of Rajasthan Medical Education Services of Medical Teachers, payment due from the effective date of DACP promotion between 2014 to 2018.
The demands also include revision in academic allowance, highrisk allowance, and monthly telephone amount, DGME and appointing senior medical teacher on the post of director, another promotion after Senior Professor to the post of higher administrative grade, 10% annual increase in consultation fees to be attached to DA, stopping transfers for NMC inspection.
