Measures for improved traffic flow
Jaipur: Various agendas were discussed and decisions were taken in the meeting of the Traffic Control Board chaired by Jaipur Development Commissioner Manju Rajpal.
In the meeting, the Transport Department was asked to speed up the process of confiscating commercial vehicles older than 15 years. It was informed in the meeting that a target has been set to confiscate 400-500 vehicles older than 15 years this month.
It was informed that a work order will be issued to the consultancy agency to check the usability of BRTS corridor. Director - JCTSL said that about 150 ebuses will be purchased which will also be run on various routes. Traffic police were asked to install PU road fences at about 101 intersections/ triangles in the city.
With its use, free-left facility will be provided to the drivers. The traffic police will give a proposal to JDA for land allocation for Abhay Command and Traffic Control Room and land allocation for keeping confiscated vehicles.
At the same time, JCTSL was directed for shuttle bus service from Ramniwas Bagh JDA underground parking to the wall city. Suspension notices were issued to 24 marriage gardens operated without parking arrangement by JMCH.
