May records highest number of air travellers in Jaipur

Jaipur: Jaipur International Airport creates history by handling a record number of passengers for the month of May 2023. Passenger traffic surged to nearly 4.5 lakh movements -the highest ever for the month of May as compared to previous years.

Exhibiting significant growth, Jaipur Airport witnessed a fruitful month with nearly 37683 international passengers and around 416103 domestic passengers. The increase in passenger traffic is a testament to the passenger confidence in the safety initiatives and protocols adopted by the airport.

In May 2023, Airport played host to approximately 453786 lakh passengers, which is 26% higher than the number in May 2022 & 11% higher than the number in May 2019. The numbers clearly indicate that Jaipur Airport has gone way ahead of the pre-covid passenger traffic. As compared to the previous month April 2023, Passenger traffic surged by 6% in May.

A total of 4,28,531 pax travelled through Jaipur airport in April. Domestic passenger traffic represented around 92% of the overall passenger movement during the month.
