Massive fire at chemical godown
Jaipur: On Wednesday afternoon, a large fire started in a chemical warehouse near Jaipur.
According to Fire Officer Rajendra Nagar, there is a tiny chemical warehouse close to the Bais Godam fire station in the Rico neighborhood.
The warehouse held eight chemical-filled drums. A spark from a nearby transformer caused a fire to start in a locked warehouse at around 12:30 pm, and the fire quickly became severe. An explosion happened when a chemical-filled drum burst due to the fire.
Three chemical-filled drums stored in the warehouse detonated and a huge blast occoured while the fire was being put out. A dairy stall and a bike that was parked close to the warehouse caught fire and was charred.
