‘Make action plan to protect all from heat-related woes’
Jaipur: Additional Chief Secretary of the Medical and Health Department, Shubhra Singh, held a state level meeting through video conferencing on Saturday at Swasthya Bhawan and instructed officials to implement a graded response system (yellow, orange and red alerts) to prevent heat related diseases. She said that awareness activities should be conducted against heat waves and heat related diseases.
Singh said that a protocol should be there to provide immediate treatment and health services to the common people in case of heatstroke and related diseases. “Ambulance, first-aid kits should be prepared, dedicated wards should be in hospitals, and adequate availability of medicines. Necessary training should be provided to doctors and paramedical staff to respond in such cases,” she said.
The ACS said that proper arrangements for shade and water should be made for the patients coming to the hospitals.
