Leave the world of crime or leave Raj: CM warns criminals

Jaipur: CM Ashok Gehlot while addressing a review meet of law & order at Police Headquarters on Friday, said that Rajasthan ranks first in entire country in terms of response time against crimes. “Our government is making every possible effort and innovation to keep the law & order strong in State and to deal with the challenges ahead. The responsibility of maintaining law and order and providing justice to victims is the duty of police. Strict action like dismissal of police officers and employees is also being taken if they are found involved with criminals. Under Mission-2030, a roadmap for the police department will be prepared for the year 2030,” the Chief Minister said.

It was informed in the meeting that the average time taken for research is continuously decreasing. The average investigation time in rape cases has come down from 208 days in 2017 to 59 days now. In SC-ST cases, it has come down from 128 days in the year 2019 to 65 days now. Rajasthan is leading state in nation with a conviction rate of 45.2 % in women atrocities cases. CM directed officers to monitor hateful and violent content & that people who help in catching the criminals are being encouraged. He directed officials to address plaints sensitively.
