Leaders rush with papers on last day
Jaipur: The nomination process for the Rajasthan Assembly elections concluded with a flurry of activity on the last day. Returning officers offices in Jaipur and across the state witnessed a significant turnout of candidates from various political parties. A total of 162 candidates submitted their nomination papers for 19 seats in Jaipur district on the last day, leading to crowded scenes at the returning officers’ offices. Over the seven-day nomination process, a total of 289 candidates filed their papers in Jaipur.
Notably, the Adarsh Nagar seat had the highest number of candidates, with 31 individuals vying for it. The least number of four nominations were filed from Dudu constituency. Similarly, eleven candidates filed 17 nominations from Kotputli constituency while 15 candidates filed 17 nomination from Viratnagar seat. Thirteen candidates filed sixteen nomination papers from Shahpura and eleven candidates filed nominations from Chomu constituency.
MLA Khiladi L Bairwa filed his nomination as an independent from Baseri seat in Dholpur.
