LAUNCH OF THE BOOK ‘WELL PLAYED: FROM HERE TO ETERNITY’ AT JLF

Jaipur: ‘Well Played’, penned by Jaipur’s  renowned cardiologist and Principal and Controller, SMS Medical College, Dr Rajeev Bagarhatta, was launched on the first day of the Jaipur Literature Festival at the Front Lawn.  The book was launched by Olympic athlete, Abhinav Bindra and Chairman & MD, Medanta, Naresh Trehan. Dr. Bagarhatta was in conversation with CEO of Access Health Care, Pariksith Singh.

Talking about the book, Dr. Bagarhatta said that the book narrates the story of a simple human being and his unorthodox trajectory of life and his career. The book will not only inspire generations but will also showcase how a single passion can create wonders. Dr. Bagarhatta said that even though the thought of writing the book came when his father passed away but he knew even while growing up that his persona and story is worth being told. The transit which he made from sports to cardiac rehab was something unusual and unheard of.

Shedding light on the challenges he faced in writing the book, Dr. Bagarhatta said that joining the dots of his father’s journey and weaving the story was the most challenging aspect. However, writing about the transformation from the field of sports to medicine was the most interesting part for the writer.
