Kirodi convinces protesters to climb down from tank, tower

Jaipur: Two young men who had climbed a water tank in Himmat Nagar, Jaipur on Sunday demanding the cancellation of the SI Recruitment Exam 2021 have ended their protest after two days on Tuesday. The two men came down with Minister Kirodi Lal Meena after he persuaded them. Despite efforts made by administrative officials to convince them over two days, they were unwilling to come down. On Tuesday morning, around 11 am, Minister Dr Kirodi Lal Meena arrived to speak with the students.

Initially, Meena tried to persuade them from below using a microphone. Then, around 1 pm, he climbed up the water tank to talk to the young men. After approximately 20 minutes of discussion and negotiations, he successfully convinced them to come down with him.

Apart from this, two youth who had climbed a BSNL tower in Jaipur demanding a CBI probe into the Dimple Meena murder case were persuaded by Dr Kirodi Meena for 20 minutes and brought them down. Dr Kirodi went to the tower sitting on a snorkel ladder.

Dr Kirodi Lal Meena assured both youth that soon their demands will be met. He said, “I have come leaving the elections in Dausa to Jaipur and in such a situation you will have to agree to what I say.”
