JMCG wins top award for Swachhata, Mayor Somya credits team for success
Jaipur: The Jaipur Municipal Corporation Greater (JMCG) has proven that dedication leads to success by winning the top award for its outstanding cleanliness efforts during the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign, which began on Sept 17. At the statelevel closing ceremony held at the Indira Gandhi Panchayati Raj Institute, UDH Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra, MP Manju Sharma, and Mayor Dr Somya were present as Commissioner Rukmani Riar accepted the award.
The campaign, launched on PM Narendra Modi’s birthday, featured various activities including street plays and cultural events.
JMCG Mayor Dr Somya credited the victory to the efforts of the entire team and emphasized their commitment to maintaining high standards in the upcoming cleanliness survey.
Commissioner Riar assured that 60% of open waste depots have been eliminated, calling for public participation in keeping Jaipur clean.
