JJM scam: ED recovers 9.5 kg gold worth Rs 6 cr from bizman, officer
Jaipur: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has recovered 9.5 kg gold worth Rs 6 crore from the lockers of businessman OP Vishwakarma and retired RAS officer Amitabh Kaushil. The ED team recovered 8 kg gold biscuits worth about Rs 4.84 crore from two lockers of Vishwakarma. The team also found 1.5 kg of gold in Kaushik’s locker, worth about Rs 90 lakh.
The total value of the gold is about Rs 6 crore.
The ED, which is investigating a scam in Jal Jeevan Mission in Rajasthan, also raided the house of another accused, Sanjay Badaya, and recovered cash from a room.
The ED team also searched the locker of a Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) officer, who is suspected to be involved in the scam. The agency seized some papers and jewellery from the locker.
