JDA’s Sylvan Biodiversity Forest to be inaugurated
Jaipur: The Sylvan biodiversity forest developed by Jaipur on 113 hectare of land on Agra road will be dedicated to the public on Independence Day. The project will increase the city’s green cover.
JDA Commissioner Joga Ram said that people will get pure air and the surrounding environment will be purified due to the park.
He said that according to CM Ashok Gehlot’s budget announcement and under the direction of UDH Minister Shanti Dhariwal, the JDA with the forest department has developed the forest on 113 hetare land on Sumel Road, nearly 5 km from Ghat ki Guni, Agra Road.
Conservator of Forests Sudeep Kaur said that the construction of a walking track and other development works have been done in the forest on the lines of the Central Park.
JDA has spent Rs 3.63 crore for forestry works and Rs 3.97 crore for civil works. Under forestry work, big trees (10000), shrubs (10000), vines (3000), medicinal plants (20000), grass area (0.5 hectare) have been developed.
