Jamwaramgarh: Half-burnt body of woman found

Jaipur: Sensation gripped Bassi area of city when a halfburnt body of a woman was found on Friday. The woman was murdered and her body was thrown on roadside. It is suspected that the body has been burnt by pouring inflammable substance to hide the identity. ACP (Bassi) Phool Chand Meena said that the body was found on the roadside in Papad village of Kanota. Police and FSL teams reached spot and collected evidence.

In the case of the burnt body of a woman in the Bassi area of Jaipur, the deceased’s half face was not burnt which led to the identification of gender, though the victim was yet to be identified by Friday night. At the same time, the police has not ruled out the possibility of rape and the police are waiting for the postmortem report.

“The body was tied in a white nylon cloth and thrown away. There are traces of blood on the face and head. Prima facie it is believed that the deceased was murdered by hitting her on the head with a heavy object. The age of the deceased is about 25 years,” said SHO (Kanota) Bhagwan Sahay.

A number of people gathered at the spot and protested by shouting slogans against the police.
