Jaipur traffic control board implements major reforms
Jaipur: The Traffic Control Board held a pivotal meeting at the Manthan Auditorium of JDA, presided over by Jaipur Development Commissioner Manju Rajpal. The board addressed various agendas and took significant decisions to enhance traffic management in Jaipur.
It was told in the meeting that a letter has been written to the Collector to notify the previously identified places for parking of e-rickshaws and a list of new places has been submitted, to be issued by RTO in seven days.
For seizure yard for 15 year old vehicles, RTO Jaipur I and II has given instructions to issue notification on Road No. 14. Necessary land has been identified around Sikar Road and Daulatpura and a proposal has been submitted to JDA. JDC directed to place a land proposal in this regard in the upcoming LPC meeting and send it to the state government for decision.
Instructions were given to allocate the traffic police proposal of Rs 90.00 crore for RTIDF fund to the Transport Dept within 15 days for installation of 222 CCTV cameras at places identified by the traffic police.
