Jaipur Rural to be a new district, Jodhpur will not be divided into North and South

Jaipur: The cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of CM Ashok Gehlot at CMR on Friday. Decisions were taken regarding formation of new districts, recitation of preamble and fundamental duties of constitution in schools, 1st increment in interest of employees in 6 months, giving more opportunities to youth of state in govt service.

In meeting, discussion on report of the Ram Lubhaya Committee prepared for formation of new districts was completed.

Reading of Preamble of the Constitution will start in all State schools

In the meeting of the Cabinet, it has been decided to start reading of the preamble and fundamental duties of the constitution in every school on Saturday (no bag day). This will further strengthen faith and pride of young generation in the country’s great constitution, democracy and nationalism. The preamble and fundamental duties of the Constitution will also be published in the newly published text books.

Rajasthan ILD Skills University now ‘The Vishwakarma Skills University
Approving the draft of ‘The Rajasthan ILD Skills University, Jaipur (Change of Name and Amendment) Bill 2023’, the Cabinet decided to rename Rajasthan ILD Skills University as ‘The Vishwakarma Skills University’.

First increment is assured in 6 months, now there will be two dates for increment
The cabinet has approved the proposal for amendment in Rajasthan Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules 2017. Due to this, the salary will be fixed in the next cell if the promotion of the personnel is equal to the pay-level of the promotion post or ACP. This will increase the salary of the personnel.

State candidates to get preference in govt jobs
The Cabinet has approved the Rajasthan Subordinate Office Clerical Service Rules 1999, Rajasthan Secretariat Clerical Service Rules 1970 and Rajasthan Public Service Commission (Clerical and Subordinate Services) Rules and with the objective of providing maximum employment to the candidates of the state in the state services.

Relief to female staff
The Cabinet approved the proposal to amend the Rajasthan Civil Services (Allotment of Residential Accommodation) Rules, 1958 to provide relief to women government employees who are transferred during pregnancy.

Computer education in Sanskrit schools
Now students will be able to get computer education in various Sanskrit schools of the state. The Cabinet approved the inclusion of the posts of Senior Computer Instructor and Basic Computer Instructor in the Rajasthan Sanskrit Education State and Subordinate Services (School Branch) Rules, 2015.

Industries dept is now Industries and Commerce Dept
The Cabinet amended Appendix ‘F’ in the Rajasthan Industry Service Rules-1960, Rajasthan Industry Subordinate Services Rules-1966 and Rajasthan State and Subordinate Services (Direct Recruitment through Combined Competitive Examination) Rules1999, in which the name of Industries Department was changed to Industries and Commerce Department.

Notably, during the meeting, Ministers congratulated CS Usha Sharma for 6 months extension of service.
