Jaipur city not to be divided into 2 districts: Min Pratap

Jaipur: Food and Civil Supplies minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas on Saturday asserted that Jaipur city will not be divided into two districts of Jaipur North and Jaipur South. He said that when a section of the government has said this, then there is no scope for argument. Khachariyawas said that if the matter had come to the cabinet meeting, he would have registered a protest there. He said that Agriculture minister Lal Chand Kataria is also against the bifurcation of the city.

At a press conference here, Khachariyawas said that the government does always run with stubbornness.
“The government is run by love and affection. If the Chief Minister has announced formation of these two districts, then there will be improvement,” he said.

The minister added that there was no discussion on the issue of Jaipur north and Jaipur south. And if this matter had come to the cabinet meeting, he would have registered a protest there. Khachariyawas said a section of the government has said that Jaipur will remain Jaipur.
