IT dept honours taxpayers on 165th foundation day

Jaipur: On Wednesday, the Income Tax Department honoured taxpayers in a program held on 165th Foundation Day of Income Tax Department. Five taxpayers were selected in different categories. Keshav Goyal was selected in the category of highest taxpayers paying more than 10 lakh income tax while Nitin Jain was selected as individual taxpayer.

For the first time, Madhulata Phatak’s name was selected as the highest paying female taxpayer while Murari Lal Gupta was selected in the senior citizen category above 80 years of age.

Meanwhile, Ecosheet India Pvt. Ltd. was selected as the new unit paying more than 10 lakh income tax.
