Income Tax Dept reshuffle: Renu Amitabh is DG of Investigation in Rajasthan
Jaipur: In a significant development on Friday night, the Income Tax Department underwent a major reshuffle affecting 82 senior officials nationwide. The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has issued orders for the transfer and appointment of key personnel, including the Chief Income Tax Commissioner and the Director General of Income Tax (Investigation).
Among the prominent appointments is Renu Amitabh, a 1991 batch IRS officer, who has been assigned a critical role in Rajasthan as the Director General of Income Tax (Investigation). In this position, she will oversee substantial tax-related investigations in the state.
Additionally, Purushottam Tirupuri, a 1989 batch IRS officer, has been appointed as the Chief Income Tax Commissioner in Jodhpur. Roli Agarwal has been entrusted with the responsibility of Chief Income Tax Commissioner in Delhi-9.
