Illegal mining: Officials told to use drones for survey
Jaipur: In the statewide campaign against illegal mining, instructions have been given to conduct surveys through drones in large mining areas, while field officers have been asked to use the LIS system of DMGOMS.
They have been asked to immediately upload the updated data and send the certificate to the Mines Directorate within seven days. Under the joint campaign, emphasis is on eliminating illegal mining activities from its source. Mines Secretary Anandi, during a virtual meeting with the officials of the Mines Department at the Secretariat on Saturday, took action under Section 177 against the illegal mining on the Khatedari land and asked the Revenue Officers to send proposals for its cancellation. It was told that in Bhilwara, 70-75 cases of illegal mining on Khatedari have been identified.
Anandi gave instructions to officers for checking of illegal mining and transportation in the border areas adjoining the NCR. She told the SME officials that the operation is being carried out with the ME-AME joint investigation team.
