IBC awards 4 projects of RHB for ‘Excellence in Built Environment’

Jaipur: Saturday was a historic day for the Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) when the board bagged 4 national level awards. IBC (Indian Buildings Congress), a unit of Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India awarded 4 projects of RHB for Excellence in Built Environment.

Shailendra Sharma, former Director, CPWD, V. Suresh, former Director, HUDCO, Vijay Singh Verma, Chairman, IBC and Lt. Gen. Arvind Walia were present at the grand function held at AP Shinde Symposium, Delhi. On behalf of the division, Chief Engineer KC Meena, Housing Commissioner (Headquarters) Vijay Aggarwal, Housing Commissioner (City Park) KK Dixit, HR Dupka, Residential Engineer GP Aggarwal and Rohit Singh, in the presence of thousands of people, received various honors.

RHB Commissioner Pawan Arora said that this honour is not for the officer alone but for the entire team. “Four years ago, the public had completely lost faith in the Housing Board, the Board was continuously running into losses, but the energy of the officers and personnel of the Board made the impossible possible. RHB’s continuous collection of awards shows the commitment and hard work of the Board towards the common man. This series of awards will continue,” Arora said. Due to the team spirit and encouragement of the officers, Commissioner Pawan Arora sent engineers to Delhi to receive the award instead of going there himself.

The City Park, Coaching Hub, Chowpatty and Shikshak Prahari Awas Yojana, which were praised in the grand ceremony of Delhi, have been very popular at the national and international level even prior to this. Thousands of local and foreign tourists come to the city park every day to see its beauty. The city dwellers are extremely fond of the delicious cuisine and delicacies of Chowpatty established in Pratap Nagar and Mansarovar. The coaching hub built in Pratap Nagar is the first such institute in the country, where private coaching is to be conducted simultaneously in a building equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.

It is noteworthy that in last four years under the leadership of RHB Commissioner Pawan Arora, the Board has received a total of 21 awards.
