I-T survey at Ganpati Plaza in final stage; continued on 60th day
Jaipur: The country’s longest Income Tax survey and search operation at Ganpati Plaza lockers is in final stage. The matter is related to survey of private lockers operator Royra Safety Vault at Ganpati Plaza. The survey continued for the 60th day on Monday. Trusted sources indicated that action would end soon.
“Survey action may end this week. Income Tax survey on Royra Safety Vault started from October 13. The last seizure was made from open lockers here on 22 November. After this, many lockers were opened, but the seizure remained zero. Now the fear of Income Tax survey is decreasing among locker holders. After the notice, the number of people checking their lockers also increased,” said a source.
Cash worth Rs 12.04 crore has been seized so far in the survey action. 11,315 grams of gold & gold jewelry worth more than Rs 6 crore was also seized. The purity of the seized gold jewelry is said to be 14 to 22 carats. The officials also seized some foreign currency and forex cards. The investigation branch of department is conducting I-T survey here.
