Horse Trading case: HC notice to Shekhawat for taking voice sample
Jaipur: The Rajasthan High Court has issued a notice to Union Minister GS Shekhawat on an application of ACB seeking permission to take his voice sample in the horse trading case.
A single judge bench of justice Chandra Kumar Songara issued the notice on an appeal against the ADJ court.
Investigating Officer of ACB had earlier submitted an application for taking voice sample of Shekhawat.
The application was rejected by trial court following which ACB filed a revision PIL in ADJ court but ADJ court also rejected PIL. Addl Adv Gen GS Rathore, appearing in court on behalf of state govt, said that trial court & revision court rejected prayer on ground that there is no provision in CrPC to issue such an order.
