Heroin worth Rs 35 crore seized, four held by Crime Branch HQ

Jaipur: CID (Crime Branch) Jaipur team arrested four smugglers and recovered nine kg high quality heroin worth Rs 35 crore in the international market brought from Pakistan to Jaisalmer district. A Bolero was also seized.

ADG (Crime) Dinesh MN said that the team of Crime Branch Police HQs Jaipur was taking action against illegal drug peddlers. He said that the police were keeping an eye on smugglers for about a month.

Dy IGP of CID (CB) Rahul Prakash said that action was taken following a tip-off. According to information, heroin was being smuggled from Pakistan and supplied through Jaisalmer in Rajasthan and also to Punjab, HP, New Delhi.

According to information in Mohangarh police station area of Jaisalmer district, Suratgarh resident Amar Lal Bhadu was arrested with 500 grams of heroin, Ramchandra Vishnoi with 500 grams, Jogendra Singh with 8 kg of heroin & smuggler Madho Singh were held.
