Health min launches pulse polio campaign

Jaipur: Medical and Health Minister Parsadi Lal Meena inaugurated the Sub-National Pulse Polio Campaign in the state on Sunday by administering polio drops to the children at his residence in Mandavari village of Dausa. The target is to administer polio drops to more than 86 lakh children up to 5 years of age in 23 districts. On the first day, a total of 48 lakh 90 thousand children were administered drops.

Meena said that Ajmer, Bhilwara, Bikaner, Churu, Dausa, Dungarpur, Jaisalmer, Jalore, Jhalawar, Nagaur, Tonk, Hanumangarh, Ganganagar, Jaipur, Bundi, Sikar, Banswada, Alwar, Barmer, Bharatpur, Udaipur, Sirohi and sub-national pulse polio campaign was conducted in Jodhpur. He said that by forming 66,731 teams, there is a target to immunize about 86 lakh 91 thousand children.

Those children who could not come to the booth on Sunday for some reason, the health workers will go door-todoor and give them drops today and tomorrow.
