Guv Mishra directs WZCC to increase its programmes
Jaipur: Governor Kalraj Mishra has directed the Western Zone Cultural Centre to increase number of programs for promoting art and artists in member states of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, and the Union Territories of Daman, Diu, and Dadra Nagar Haveli. Following his instructions, centre will now organize over 200 programs instead of the previously planned 156. This decision was made during Center’s Steering Committee meeting.
Governor Mishra emphasized the need to provide more opportunities for rural artists and to work towards preserving local arts and heritage. He praised the Ministry of Culture’s decision to increase fees for artist.
